The Polish dance known as mazurka entered the British Islands in the middle of the 19th century, becoming a distinctive part of the traditional dance music of County Donegal, Ireland. No longer popular as a couple’s dance, its music remains in the repertoire of traditional music sessions.
This is my solo ukulele arrangement of Charlie Lennon‘s, also known as The Irish… and a thousand other names, as is usual with traditional Irish tunes).
